Kindle Bookclub

Amid the surge in digital reading communities like “BookTok” and “Bookstagram,” Kindle faces an oppertunity to solidify its position as the preferred platform not only for reading, but for fostering interactions where users can share their thoughts and progress with others. In this project, my team and I strategized on how to seamlessly integrate social features into its platform, facilitating dynamic discussions, collaborative reading experiences, and real-time sharing of insights.

Problem Statement

My team and I are seeking to understand the underlying motivations that drive users to engage with eBooks, as well as to discern the specific attributes of digital social groups that hold appeal for users. Through research and analysis, we aim to uncover how we can introduce a social element into the existing Kindle interface that is unobstructive to the core purpose of the application.
